From Blabbermouth: GUNS N' ROSES has is beginning to roll out dates for its upcoming late spring/early summer European tour. So far the following two shows have been confirmed: May 17 - O2 Arena - Dublin, Ireland Jun. 22 - Gods Of Metal - Milan, Italy Tickets for the Dublin concert go on sale next Friday, February 3. The band last played in Ireland in 2010 with sell-out concerts at The Odyssey Arena in Belfast and in Dublin. The band's September 1, 2010 concert in Dublin was notable as it saw the band walking off the stage just 22 minutes into its set — after keeping fans waiting for well over an hour for the group to begin playing — because plastic glasses had been thrown at them. GUNS N' ROSES returned to the stage around 30 minutes later and finished their set. According to Unreality TV, Paddy Power — which is said to be Europe's largest bookmaker — is betting GUNS N' ROSES lead singer Axl Rose, who is notorious for being late, may not make it back to a Dublin concert stage. The betting odds are 9/2 that the band cancels the date and 10/1 that the band is forced to cancel its Irish gig due to a lack of ticket sales. If the show does go ahead, the betting odds are 3/1 that Axl enters the stage at the scheduled start time, 9/2 he's up to fifteen minutes late, and just 2/1 that the audience are left waiting for more than an hour. Sharon McHugh, spokesperson for Paddy Power, told Unreality TV, "The fans didn’t take too kindly to Axl's diva-like attitude last time he was in Dublin and rightly so. We just hope he has more sense this time around and that he'll actually show up on time!"

Anyone who complains about GnR starting late is not a GnR fan and shouldn't even be at the show. This is how this band has operated for 25 years. If you don't know that, you've been living under a rock. If you don't like that, you shouldn't buy a ticket. Anyone who expects Axl to change his behavior is living in a fantasy world. It won't happen. Deal with it or stay the fuck home.
And how can Axl be criticized for walking off stage when people were throwing shit at him?

I couldn't agree more!!! You're so right!!! It irritated me highly, but cutting down the article gave me the feeling I was censoring stuff and this is no Kindergarten. So I put the complete thing up. I mean, I'm not from the KGB. And we ALL now better, don't we!! I don't care a hang if he's late, it's always been like that, it'll always be like that. So I just laugh about the stupid part. You can't make them any wiser, anyway, can you?... They're certainly no Axl-fans!

You were right to post the whole thing Aranrod, but it does piss me off when I see reports like this. I've seen other concerts during the past year and not just Rock concerts - and they have all - yes, all - been late on! Who cares? But it does annoy me that the media are allowed to exaggerate the whole time issue. When I saw GnR in October 2010 they were 1 hr late - it was fine, the crowd were ok. All right, I almost got caught out when I went to the loo, but what the hell, it was worth it!

Yes, funny enough it's mostly the media complaining about it. And they get fuckin' passes so they can relax backstage!!! I must admit I was shocked by the public reaction in Dublin. There seems to be zero tolerance these days...
